Given the severity of the weather please ensure that if you are travelling on the roads that you leave plenty of time and dress appropriately. If you aren't able to make your assignment it is critical that you let your assignor know as soon as possible. Checking that the game is still being played before you leave would be wise. Phone the arena and your assignor to confirm.
Games in some leagues such as AJHL have been cancelled already. Other leagues may not give much notice or forget to notify the officials so it is important you check first. In Calgary in particular it is up to the 2 teams to decide if they will be playing or not.
