Fellow Officials,

We would like to remind you of the guidelines for the number of games to work in single day.  Only 1 game per day should be worked in the A program (BAAA male and up, MAAA female and up).  A maximum of 3 games per day should be worked in the B program.  Occasionally your assignor may schedule you for more games than the maximum.  Please contact the assignor to confirm you are approved to work over the maximum.  They will then confirm you have approval and you may accept the games or they will reassign.

Our first priority is to cover all the hockey games with the right officials.  However, almost as important is ensuring the officials will be fresh enough to give the right level of performance and effort on the ice that is expected and required.  3 hours is a long time to referee at any level, and in your 4th or 5th hours you mentally and physically won’t be able to perform at the same level you did in hour 2.

Thanks for your cooperation and remember to hit Save when updating your availability (and go back and double check it is in the system).

Sincerely,

CZRC Executive
